If you know us, you know that as a team we pretty much adore Guacamelee. It was a masterpiece in action-platforming, with just enough difficulty to challenge you without frustrating you. Well, Drinkbox Studios was responsible for that slice of heaven, and they have returned with a project just for the PS Vita. Say hello to Severed.
In Severed you will control Sasha, a one armed warrior in search of her family. The game is swipe based, so fans of games such as Fruit Ninja will be right at home. You’ll need your swiping abilities to solve puzzles and fight an assortment of monsters. You can unlock new abilities through an upgrade tree and power up the abilities you will need to survive this nightmarish world and see Sasha through her journey.
As you can see from the screenshots, Severed retains the style and flair of Guacamelee easily. Severed is 14.99, and PS Plus members receive 10% off for launch week. Also as a bonus, Drinkbox made the original soundtrack available here. We are currently waiting for news on a review code, so one way or another we should have a review for you soon.
